2. Follow the path to the church - through the church yard - take the path to the Lynch Gate - straight on follow Parsonage croft - at the end is a snicket take this and through the stile -
3. bear right and go thought the field diagonally - until you reach Stanage Road .
4. Left again - pass St Anselms school - you reach a waymaker pointing to Ashford on the right - follow this.
5. On exiting Endcliffe Wood - cross the A6 go left - take the path on the right to Ashford.
6. On leaving the fields go right and right again - over the disused bridge towards Ashford - cross over the A6020 - before the Village Hall is a small road follow this up hill - carry on up the pavement - until you see the way maker and squeeze stile on the right on opposite side of A6020 - go through this.
7. Follow the path past Churchdale Hall - down to the track cross over the A6020 - follow the road and bear right - walk along the road - signed posted to Hassop Rowland -
8. Just past Mires Lane(on the left) is a footpath to the right follow this path - straight to the A6020 - cross over -take the path leading to the Monsal Trail. Turn left.
9. At the old station at Bakewell come off the trail follow the road down to the town. there are several ways back to the A6 now - I would go this way.........
turn left on to Coombes Road - almost immediately go left again through the car parks (these are locked at night) on reaching the river go over the bridge and turn left along the river to the recreation ground and the A6.
